Amanda Belo is a communications professional living in Chicago by way of North Carolina. She earned a B.A. in dance and a minor in communication studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2007. After taking one year off, she decided to go back to school and graduated in 2010 from DePaul University with an M.A. in public relations and advertising. In addition to being passionate about the arts and culture, Amanda has always loved to write and is excited to be working with GALO to keep honing her skills and telling interesting stories. She secretly hopes to live out her dream of making a living performing and traveling. Realistically, she works for a media company full-time as a researcher and also a staff writer for the company’s online resource.
