Hunter Ingram has been a dedicated film and television enthusiast for quite some time. Gaining a dose of entertainment knowledge from just about every branch of his family tree, Hunter grew up with a distinct voice on the topics of film and television, and has carried his love of the two media with him throughout his formative years. He even gained the nickname “The Human IMDB” from those close to him because of the extensive knowledge of film and TV he has acquired. That longstanding passion eventually led him to East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, where he majored in communication with a concentration in media studies, and minored in film studies. Once at ECU, he eagerly pursued the position of film/television critic for The East Carolinian, the university’s student-run newspaper — a role he would remain in for two and a half years. In this position, he published reviews and maintained a steady readership through his own column entitled “At the Movies with Hunter Ingram.” He also tackled the role of managing editor for his final year at ECU. Hunter hopes to continue on his path as a film and television critic, writing thoughtful and insightful reviews for anyone who will listen.
