Karl Arney is currently in his third year as an English teacher in Zhengzhou, China. In his time there, he has taught a variety of subjects including basic English, Intercultural Communications, Business English, and Current Events. Karl graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA with a BA in Journalism and a minor in History. He served as Music Section Editor for his senior class’ self-produced magazine Philadelphia People. Since arriving in China he has become a steady contributor to the Hot Pot foreign perspective column of China Daily, the country's largest English-language publication. He has also served as the English editor and Marketing consultant for Shanghai Sourcing Project Consultancy Co. Ltd. While he plans to continue teaching and traveling abroad through the near future, Karl also intends to take increased advantage of the journalistic opportunities afforded him by his life and experiences in both Asia and America.
