After graduating with a journalism degree from Northern Arizona University, Samantha Herman accepted an internship in the arts and culture department at Willamette Week, and her dream really began to take shape. She realized she had an insatiable passion for interviewing authors and writing book reviews. Never one to shy away from an unfamiliar genre, Samantha has taken two graduate-level literature classes through Portland State University since earning her bachelor's degree and plans to continue working toward a master's degree. She hopes to grow her portfolio and promote literary discussion through her partnership with GALO Magazine.
