Tara Scarola graduated with honors from The State University of New York at New Paltz with a B.A. in English. Previously, she interned with Hudson Valley Parenting Magazine which sparked a passion for editorial writing. Always dreaming of being an author, her enthusiasm for reading and writing began at a young age when she wrote creative stories in a notebook everywhere she went. To this day, she continues to write short stories and poems. Recently, she spent time in Nepal teaching English to young girls who were rescued from bonded labor. Her time in Nepal fostered her desire to teach children the importance of self-confidence. The experience inspired her to one day teach courses on using creative writing as a healing process and means of expression. When she’s not reading one of her favorite authors, she enjoys baking, crafting, and running as hobbies. Ultimately, she dreams of becoming an author and educator, teaching English to underprivileged children.
