A native New Yorker, Zainab Akande received her master's degree from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism in 2014 with a concentration in arts and culture reporting and a focus in multimedia journalism. She is currently a staffer for TheDishh.com, a celebrity news and lifestyle site. She has also written for Indiewire, MarieClaire.com, Artinfo and Mic. A film and TV aficionado, Zainab enjoys dramedys, horror and noir. She also enjoys using entertainment journalism as a platform for discussing and analyzing the modern day cultural diet.
